About Me

Mike Cornell

I've been writing software for a long time. Bluesky using DNS finally got me around to grabbing a domain. So here I am. Maybe more to come later, maybe not. We shall see.

I have deep expertise in testing — particularly TDD and acceptance testing — and I enjoy forcing AI coding tools to work within a TDD workflow to improve the quality of their output. My frontend knowledge is stale by about a decade, which makes this site an ongoing experiment in letting the tools drag me back up to speed.

Projects

Movie Mogul — a browser port of a 1985 Commodore 64 game originally written by Anthony Chiang and ported to the C-64 by Alan Gardner. I reverse-engineered the BASIC source from a D64 disk image and converted it to TypeScript. It runs in the browser and works on mobile.

NHL Standings — an alternative view of the current NHL standings, pulling live data from the NHL API.
